Many of our SHP employees had the opportunity to attend the Los Angeles Association of Professional Landmen (LAAPL) luncheon this past Thursday, November 17th. Our Land Manager, Sarah Bobbe, is the Vice President of the LAAPL. Sarah’s responsibilities include reaching out to oil and gas professionals to speak at luncheons on a variety of topics related to the industry.

Sarah’s role is key in the success of the LAAPL because she helps provide resources to landmen to continue to learn and be informed on the different perspectives of issues in the oil and gas industry. Educating and broadening the scope of petroleum landmen is one of the essential purposes of the LAAPL.

These monthly luncheons bring together local oil and gas professionals to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and achievements within the industry. Sarah was honored when seasoned oil and gas professional, David Kilpatrick, accepted her invitation to speak at this months luncheon. Mr. Kilpatrick is the President of Kilpatrick Energy Group and father of SHP engineer Dustin Kilpatrick. David was able to share his perspective on the direction of the industry. With 40 years of experience with oil and gas, Kilpatrick offered valuable insight including the importance of understanding proper messaging to inform and educate the public.
