Long Beach, CA – Signal Hill Petroleum Inc., a leading producer of sustainable oil and gas based in Signal Hill, CA, has been honored by Senator Ricardo Lara at the 33rd Senate District’s Excellence in Business Awards. The ceremony was held by Senator Lara at the Union Bank Building in Downtown Long Beach.
“We’re honored to receive the Excellence in Business Award,” said Dave Slater, COO of Signal Hill Petroleum. “We are dedicated to strengthening our local communities and supporting our cities as a thriving place to live and work.”
Signal Hill Petroleum was selected for its ongoing philanthropic efforts and community involvement. The company has donated over half-a-million dollars to community programs in the past few years, including a recent gift of $250,000 to California State University Long Beach (CSULB) for the development of an environmental geochemistry laboratory. In addition to supporting community programs, Signal Hill Petroleum is dedicated to rebuilding jobs and fueling the local economy through job creation.

The annual awards recognize businesses large and small that go above and beyond the call of duty in supporting their communities. Signal Hill Petroleum is one of the 23 businesses honored for supporting job growth and communities investments by Sen. Ricardo Lara.
