SHP Donates To The LB Police Foundation

The Long Beach Police Foundation (LBPF) recently received a $5,000 donation from Signal Hill Petroleum to support the Long Beach Police Department with equipment, training technology and community outreach. The leading producer of sustainable oil and gas presented the donation at the 2014 VIP Reception on February 20th at Keesal, Young & Logan in Downtown Long Beach.
LBPF President Dan Walker stated, “This year’s VIP Reception was a tremendous success. Thanks to the generosity community partners such as Signal Hill Petroleum, we were able to fund three grant requests for the Police Department and generated over $28,000 to provide public safety related equipment, training and outreach programs for our community.”
Debra Montalvo Russell, Director of Community Relations and Business Development at Signal Hill Petroleum, presented the donation to Walker on behalf of the company at the event.
“The Long Beach Police Department makes incredible sacrifices to ensure the safety and quality of life of Long Beach residents and businesses,” said Russell. “Signal Hill Petroleum is proud to support the foundation in all their efforts, and express our deep appreciation and gratitude for its unwavering commitment to serving our community.”
Signal Hill Petroleum has served as a long-time partner of the Long Beach Police Department, donating resources and volunteer time in support of the organizations mission to enhance the programs and services of the LBPD since 2008.
