At its annual VIP fundraising reception this year, the Long Beach Police Foundation received a $5000 donation from Signal Hill Petroleum, adding to more than six years of support from the local energy company.
Signal Hill Petroleum has served as a long-time partner of the Long Beach Police Foundation, donating resources and volunteer time since 2008 in support of the organization’s mission to enhance the programs and services of the Long Beach Police Department. Proceeds from the VIP reception provide support to LBPD.
“This year’s VIP Reception was a tremendous success. Thanks to the generosity community partners such as Signal Hill Petroleum, we were able to fund three grant requests for the police department and generated over $28,000 to provide public safety related equipment, training and outreach programs for our community,” said LBPF President Dan Walker.
Debra Russell, Director of Community Relations and Business Development at Signal Hill Petroleum, presented the donation to Walker on behalf of the company at the event.
“The Long Beach Police Department makes incredible sacrifices to ensure the safety and quality of life of Long Beach residents and businesses,” said Russell. “Signal Hill Petroleum is proud to support the foundation in all their efforts, and express our deep appreciation and gratitude for its unwavering commitment to serving our community.”
Signal Hill Petroleum has won multiple awards for its corporate social responsibility over the years, including three last summer alone when the company was given the 2013 West Coast Oil and Gas Awards’ Corporate Social Responsibility Award.
