Signal Hill Community Champion Award

As the year comes to an end, we want to recognize our achievements and express our sincerest appreciation for being awarded the City of Signal Hill Community Champion Award by the Signal Hill Community Foundation. Our constant commitment to our community remains strong, and we look forward to expanding our reach, deepening our impact, and fostering even stronger bonds with the community. This award marks not the end of a journey but a milestone at the beginning of what is to come.

Beyond the immediate impact of our initiatives, we have focused on building lasting connections within the community. Listening to the needs and concerns of our neighbors has allowed us to tailor our efforts to address real challenges to make a meaningful difference. Receiving the Community Champion Award is not just an acknowledgement of our efforts but a celebration of the community. Keir Jones, President of the Signal Hill Community Foundation, said “The Community Champion award recognizes a company that goes above and beyond to support the Signal Hill community.  They understand that strong communities are built on shared values and experiences and take pride in actively investing in the areas where they operate.  SHP’s commitment to the city is exemplified by years of partnerships and support of programs such as Concerts in the Park, Movies in the Park, Holiday Outreach, the Brown Bag Food Distribution Program, National Night Out, among many others.  SHP also believes in investing in the young minds of the future.  Over the last few years, SHP has built strong partnerships with our local schools. Signal Hill Petroleum is a small company, making a big difference and they believe in the power of community energy.”

It’s been a year filled with shared endeavors, partnerships, and the joy from making a positive impact. We have been so involved with our community through our local school partnerships, police foundation support, as well as our partnership with Partner in the Parks to bring movies and concerts to our community. From fostering relationships with local schools like Alvarado, Signal Hill Elementary, and Nelson Academy, we have strived to be an active participant in the growth of our community. At the heart of our mission lies a deep-rooted desire to contribute meaningfully to the wellbeing of our community.  Here is to another year of collaboration, growth, and making a positive difference in the lives around us.
