Last Thursday, our very own Community Relations Manager, Alex Carnino, was recognized as a “Woman of Distinction” by Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal of the 69th District. This honor was awarded to 20 different women within the 69th district who have had a positive impact on their community. Mrs. Carnino was recognized under the business category of the award ceremony. Through her role as Community Relations Manager, she has fostered an open rapport and mutual support with her community. She is involved in numerous amount of non-profits including the Signal Hill Police Foundation, Signal Hill Community Foundation, Long Beach Partners of Parks, and is the former Vice President of the Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce. She also has built a strong relationship with the local schools in Signal Hill; sponsoring and volunteering at various events that show appreciation to the teachers, staff, and students. Mrs. Carnino is a great representation of what it means to be a female leader within the oil and natural gas industry. Signal Hill Petroleum is lucky to have someone as passionate and dedicated as Mrs. Carnino. Congratulations Alex on a well-deserved award!

Signal Hill Community Foundation Board Members at the “Arts and Apps” event.

Last Friday evening we attended the Signal Hill Community Foundations’ “Arts and Appetizers” fundraising event! We are so happy to have been one of the sponsors for this spectacular night. We had such a great time mingling with everyone while enjoying some amazing art and snacks. The night also included a live auction for some of the fine art pieces on display. What made the night even more special was that all of the restaurants and artists were local to Signal Hill and Long Beach. All of the proceeds from the event will go directly to the programs supported by the foundation which include Concerts in the Park, Brown Bag Food Delivery, Library Programming, and so much more. Our Community Relations Manager, Alex Carnino, is a proud board member of the foundation. We are looking forward to many more events to come!
