2023 Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce held their Annual Installation Luncheon today at The Grand in Long Beach. We would like to congratulate our Communications Specialist, Holly Youpa, for being sworn into the 2023 Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She will be acting as the Secretary, a part of the Executive Board. We would also like to congratulate and thank our Community Relations Manager, Alex Carnino, for her devoted time as a board member for the past 6 years. It was great to see so many community members and businesses, as well as state representatives, come together to celebrate this event. Signal Hill Petroleum was also recognized for their continuous efforts to support the city and for all of their involvement with the local schools. SHP is honored to be a Chamber Champion and is looking forward to continuing their partnership. Congratulations Alex Carnino and Holly Youpa!

The Chamber of Commerce is an organization that strives to advance the general welfare of the Signal Hill area so that its citizens, businesses, and civic organizations shall prosper. They hold monthly luncheons and mixers that are the perfect place to network and expand one’s business.

Last Thursday we attended the City of Signal Hill’s Inaugural State of the City hosted by Mayor Keir Jones in partnership with the Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce. We are incredibly honored to have our very own Community Relations Manager, Alex Carnino, as one of the Board of Directors for the Chamber and our Communications Specialist, Holly Youpa, as an incoming board member. It was so great to see so many community members come together and enjoy a beautiful lunch while listening to the state of the city. The Signal Hill City Council Members presented an overview of the city’s programs and the city’s future development plans. Signal Hill’s Chamber President, Adalita Silva, and Vice President, Chris Arnaldo, presented the current economic status of the city. We are looking forward to continuing our strong partnership with Signal Hill and its exciting future!

We had the most spooktacular time at Alvarado Elementary’s Annual Trunk-Or-Treat Event last Monday! For the past few years, we have helped sponsor this wonderful event by donating a cart full of candy. This year we decided to go above and beyond and double our donation as well as host our own trunk for the students. The event had such a great turnout, with over 500 people in attendance. Not only were there trunks for the students to trick-or-treat at, but there was also face painting, a snow cone station, as well as food and drinks! It was so rewarding being a part of the event and getting to see firsthand all of the excited kids. We are already looking forward to next year, Happy Halloween!

Signal Hill Petroleum is proud to announce that our very own Communications Specialist, Holly Youpa, has been elected to the board of directors for the Signal Hill Chamber of Commerce. The term will begin in January 2023.

Holly is a recent graduate from the California State University of Long Beach with a degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Public Relations. She was working part-time as our Communications Specialist since October 2019 and began working full-time in June 2022. Holly is looking forward to growing her partnership with the chamber and cannot wait to see what the year will bring. With Holly’s enthusiasm and the support of Signal Hill Petroleum, we look forward to the exciting and constructive work of the chamber and the continued leadership and philanthropic roles of SHP members in the community.
