SHP Community Relations Team at opening night of Movies in the Park 2023.
Summer has arrived, and with it comes the much-anticipated free summer series “Movies in the Park”. We are so proud to celebrate Signal Hill Petroleum, the main sponsor for this event for the community for an impressive 17 years. The opening night was held at Signal Hill Park and featured the movie Top Gun: Maverick. SHP also hosted a booth giving away free raffle tickets and footballs to the kids. The raffle prizes included a “fun in the sun” summer basket, a movie night basket, and a brand-new bike. “It was so great to see everyone come together and enjoy the festivities. Movies in the Park has allowed us to make an impact and strengthen our connection with the community,” said Alex Carnino, Signal Hill Petroleum’s Community Relations Manager. As the summer series continues, we encourage everyone to take part and enjoy the free entertainment with their friends and family.

Signal Hill Petroleum is proud to be the sole sponsor for the summertime series “Movies In The Park” for the 16th year! Movies In The Park provides a series of free movies all throughout Signal Hill and Long Beach. At the Long Beach City Council meeting last night, SHP’s Community Relations Manager, Alex Rothwell, presented a $38,000 check to Partners of Parks for SHP’s donation to this program. We are committed to investing in the communities where we operate and are proud to partner with local programs that directly benefit residents and businesses. There will be 30 movie showings at 30 different park sites this summer with free popcorn and moon bounces. We look forward to another exciting summer filled with family and friends. Last night marked the kick-off for the spectacular summertime series “Movies In The Park 2022!” We are so proud to be the sole sponsor for this free event for the 16th year. Opening night was hosted by the City of Signal Hill at Signal Hill Park and featured the movie Encanto. SHP hosted a booth where we handed out free raffle tickets to all of the kids. The raffle prizes included a summer basket, a movie night basket, and a bike. We also passed out some super fun SHP “football stress balls” to everyone in attendance. We had such an amazing turnout of over 200 people! It was so great to see everyone outside together and enjoying each other’s company. “Movies in the Park” is back and better than ever! We are so proud to be able to sponsor this free summertime series for the 15th year. Last Friday we attended the opening night for Signal Hill which took place at Signal Hill Park. We hosted a free raffle with some awesome prizes for all the kids who came out. It was great seeing over 200 community members come together again and enjoy food, a movie, and each other’s company! The Signal Hill Police Department also stopped by handed out stickers and took pictures with kids which was such a great surprise. Looking forward to a fun summer ahead filled with many more movies!
