After almost 20 years of planning, the new Signal Hill Library has finally opened its doors! The grand opening officially took place last Saturday and did not disappoint this long-awaited occasion. The event featured a public ceremony, storytelling, live music and best of all, a dinosaur to lead the way for the big reveal. Dave Slater, SHP’s COO and Executive VP, stated, “It is impressive that a small community like Signal Hill can provide a world class amenity like the new Signal Hill Public Library. This state-of-the-art facility will provide many different venues. It will not only provide educational opportunities, but also an inviting community gathering place where residents from children, teens and seniors can gather and get to know more about our city and each other.” We look forward to exploring all the exhibits and amenities at the library for years to come! If you haven’t yet seen the library for yourself, stop by and bring your library card!
