AAPL Tour
July 7, 2023As a company, we are always looking for ways to share our story with industry partners, the public, or anyone interested in learning about our diverse industry. We take great pride in being an urban oil operator and love to share how we are able to safely integrate our production into an urban environment. We recently had the privilege of hosting the American Association of Landmen (AAPL) and over the course of the week, we were able to take them on two company tours. The day started with a presentation from our Community Relations Manager, Alex Carnino, and our Land Manager, Sarah Bobbe. They shared our unique expertise on how we operate in an urban environment with a great concern for both our environment and our community. We believe our success is directly correlated to being “tri-lingual;” being able to speak oil, real estate development, and community. For the remainder of the tour, we took the AAPL guests to a few of our facilities to showcase all the cutting-edge technology that we have incorporated into our operations. We had our Operations Engineer, Brandon Bridgman, act as our tour guide to give a little more insight into our company as we drove through Signal Hill. We were able to bring the AAPL up onto our all-electric drilling rig where we had our Drilling Manager, Pat Hurley, and our Drilling Supervisor, Justin Wright, demonstrate how the rig operates, as well as explain how it is the most efficient and reliable rig on the market. Additionally, the AAPL was able to witness firsthand how one of our operations plants work, with the help of our Vice President of Operations, Sean McDaniel, and Plant Supervisor, John Perry. To end the tour, we brought our guests up to Hill Top Park where we have our “Tribute to the Roughnecks” monument. It gave our guests a glimpse into Signal Hills’ fantastic views and a panoramic view of oil wells in an urban environment. Thank you to the AAPL for stopping by, we look forward to hosting you all again soon!
