Ashleigh Williams-Pearce Spirt Award
March 1, 2022Signal Hill Petroleum is incredibly proud to have our very own Community Relations Manager, Alex Rothwell, awarded the Ashleigh Williams-Pearce Spirt Award by the City of Signal Hill during last week’s Signal Hill City Council meeting.
Ashleigh Williams-Pearce, an employee of the Signal Hill community services department, lost her battle to cancer in 2019, but her light has continued to shine throughout the Signal Hill Community Services department. Ashleigh had a calm, loving, humble demeanor that was recognized and appreciated by all she worked with and by all of those who called her a friend or family member.
To commemorate the impact Ashleigh had on the Community Services Department, the department honors someone who has her same spirit.
“Alex is another light in the city, she has a calm, loving, humble demeanor that is recognized and appreciated by everyone she works with. She is always willing to do whatever is necessary to help and since March of 2020, Alex has consistently helped deliver boxes of food to seniors in the food distribution program” said Alison Dobay, City of Signal Hill Community Services Manager.
“I am so touched to have received the Ashleigh Williams-Pearce Spirt Award,” said Alex Rothwell, SHP Community Relations Manager. “I truly enjoy working with the city of Signal Hill and it’s residents every day. This is a remarkable community and I’m just so honored to be a part of it”.
