SHP Employees Go the Extra Mile

On Sunday, October 12^th, several Signal Hill Petroleum employees joined an estimated 26,000 racers in participation of the 30^th annual Long Beach Marathon.  Many of our employees and executives came out on race day to support their coworkers and community. Three SHP employees ran the half marathon and four participated in the 5K. Stefanie Gillett, Signal Hill Petroleum’s Communications Specialist, was on hand to cheer on her fellow workers and also snapped photos of our team along with the first place Women’s Marathon finisher Risper Kimaiyo.

Signal Hill Petroleum’s roots run deep in the community and we’re always excited to support a great cause that allows our employees to get involved.  In addition to covering participating employee’s marathon entry fees, SHP made a donation of $1000 to Back On My Feet, an organization that uses running to help the homeless through promoting self-sufficiency.
