Snow Day!

Signal Hill Petroleum is involved with many non-profit organizations throughout Long Beach, but the most special events, in my opinion, are the ones where the direct benefits are tangible and obvious. Snow Day is one of those events!

SHP asked me to represent the company for Long Beach Council member Patrick O’Donnell’s 2013 Snow day.  This was my first time attending Snow Day but I heard from my colleagues, it was a day to be filled with fun, food, and snow! And that is was.

I arrived 30 minutes after Snow Day officially started and Whaley Park was already filled with booths, snow cones, and smiling children everywhere! Not only was there snow filling up half the park but there was a music, hot dogs  snow cones, virtually everything you could think of to make a child’s Saturday unforgettable!

Events like these stick out.  Our company helped sponsor an amazing event which brought snow to Long Beach for over 5,000 people.  Some of these children have never seen snow and the fact that Signal Hill Petroleum contributed to making a child’s day is why I am proud to work here.  Thank you Patrick O’Donnell for an amazing event and letting us help make memories that will last a life time!
