USC Students and SHP Engineers
July 25, 2014
We love to teach and nurture the interests of students, especially those who are looking into careers in Engineering and Geology. One of the many ways we do this is through informational tours of our local facilities.
Last week SHP Operations Engineer Brandon B. led a group of students from the University of Southern California on a tour of Signal Hill Petroleum. The day-long excursion was so rewarding for both the students and our SHP team. The students had a chance to meet various personnel and see who we are and how we operate firsthand with a tour of our pumping units, processing facilities and some of our drilling rigs in action. The tour also included a visit to Discovery Well, our oldest well site.
The students were very receptive to the information being shared and were very enthusiastic with their questions.
“I appreciated you taking the time to share information on the projects and events you are working on. You were very informative and I am grateful for the insight you provided,” said the one of the students as he thanked Brandon.
Educating new generations is always a priority for us and we are very happy to have made a positive impact in the student’s knowledge and education.
