Signal Hill Petroleum Celebrates 20 Years of Supporting Movies in the Park

For the 20^th year, Signal Hill Petroleum is proud to serve as the sole sponsor of Movies in the Park, a summertime tradition that brings free outdoor movies, activities and family fun to communities throughout Signal Hill and Long Beach.

This year’s, Movies in the Park featured 30 movie showings at 30 different park locations over the span of 10 weeks, giving families across the area the opportunity to enjoy a free evening together in their local park. In addition to the movies, attendees enjoyed complimentary popcorn and activities throughout the summer.

During the final week of this year’s series, Signal Hill Petroleum Community Relations Manager, Melissa Lynch presented the $55,000 check to Partners of Parks in support of the program and its continued success. Melissa also serves on the board of Long Beach Partners of Parks, further supporting the organization’s efforts to bring programs and activities to communities throughout Long Beach.

For two decades, SHP’s support of Movies in the Park has helped keep the program free and accessible to local families. What began as a summertime partnership has grown into a longstanding community tradition, bringing families, friends, and neighbors together in neighborhood parks year after year.

As another successful season comes to a close, SHP is grateful to Partners of Parks, City of Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine, and everyone who helped make this summer’s movie nights possible. We look forward to continuing this tradition and another exciting summer of Movies in the Park next year!
