Extraordinary Leadership at SHP

Devon Shay, Director of Engineering & Geosciences at SHP was invited to attend The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Regional Awards in Denver, Colorado and flew back with an award of her own. Honored with the Regional Distinguished Corporate Support Award on behalf of Signal Hill Petroleum, Devon was recognized for her excellent leadership through her commitment of time, energy and professional resources.

In addition to her industry contributions, Devon has dedicated her efforts to inform and inspire future engineers right here in Long Beach. In April, Devon spoke to the CSULB’s Pi Tau Sigma International Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, a club comprised of the top 33% mechanical engineering students. Devon shared her personal experience in the field, addressing changes in the industry through the years and shed light on the various career opportunities available in the industry, as well as providing interview and resume advice.

Devon is an extraordinary member of the SHP team and we couldn’t be happier about her achievement at SPE and passion for the future engineers!  She manages the engineering and geology of the Long Beach Oilfield and offers a wealth of petroleum engineering knowledge to our team.
