Moore League’s Annual Cross Country Race

Signal Hill Petroleum is a proud supporter of the Long Beach Unified School District. For the last several years, SHP has partnered with the Moore League and has allowed them to host their annual cross-country race on our North Slope Trail System in Signal Hill. Last week they held their most recent race, which was unfortunately disrupted by heavy rain and lightning, resulting in the girls’ varsity team having to postpone their meet. Signal Hill Petroleum, being a dedicated community member, promptly assisted in approving the reschedule with the Moore League to two days later, allowing the girls to still have their chance to run. The 562.org page recently posted a video and article on the race showing our trails that the runners followed, as well as who the winners of the girl’s division were. Avery Peck, first place winner stated in regard to the race being rescheduled on our property “…when I heard it was going to be back at Signal Hill I was so happy.” We take much pride in being able to support our local schools and their extracurricular programs.
