Signal Hill Petroleum (SHP) was honored as a proud sponsor at the Signal Hill Police Department (SHPD) 10th annual National Night Out program. This event was selected as a national award winner by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) for its Community Policing Outreach efforts. The NATW is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and developing crime prevention programs, such as National Night Out, to create safer communities.

Approximately 950 residents attended the event, which gave them the opportunity to meet police personnel in an engaging environment. The event hosted games, food, vendors, prize giveaways, and even the chance to “dunk” a police officer in a dunk booth.

SHPD Chief Michael Langston said “This event is a really positive opportunity for the community to meet with our police officers and develop positive partnerships. We are proud that this event has grown over the past few years. We are also grateful for the support of the City Council and the numerous sponsors that make this event possible. Frankly, this event could not happen without their support.”

SHP wants to congratulate Signal Hill Police Department on obtaining this award for the 3rd consecutive year.
